How to French Braid Your Hair

A French braid is a type of braid that involves weaving sections of hair over one another, creating a raised, braided pattern. To French braid your own hair, follow these steps:

  1. Start with dry, brushed hair. Comb your hair to get rid of tangles.
  2. Divide your hair into three sections: one on the left, one in the middle, and one on the right.
  3. Cross the left section over the middle section, then the right section over the middle section.
  4. Take a small piece of hair from the left side of your head, and add it to the left section of hair. Cross the left section over the middle section.
  5. Take a small piece of hair from the right side of your head, and add it to the right section of hair. Cross the right section over the middle section.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5, adding small pieces of hair to the left and right sections each time and crossing them over the middle section.
  7. Continue braiding until you reach the end of your hair.
  8. Secure the braid with an elastic band.

If you find it difficult to French braid your hair, you can start with a regular braid, and as you braid, add small sections of hair from the sides, and then cross them over the middle section.

It may take some practice to get the hang of it, but with time you'll be able to French braid your hair like a pro!
